Hatching our ducks
Here at purple childcare we have been hatching ducklings. The children have been practicing handling the eggs, to learn how to be gentle with the ducks.
The children have named the ducks Beetroot, Jemima, and Ck Ck.
Ducks grow very fast and after 2 weeks they are half adult size.
Adult ducks drink 1 gallon of water per day, so need a lot of looking after.
The children are looking forward to swimming them in the paddling pool.
