World book day is a great opportunity of the children to dress up and get involved in storytelling.
World book day is to encourage the children to find the joy in reading and explore new and old stories. Here at purple childcare we looked at “going on a bear hunt” “little red riding hood” and the “Gruffalo” to name a few.
Practitioners made exploratory tuff tray spot and stories sack for the children. The children in preschool made new ending for there stories and added they selves as characters into their favourite stories to encourage early story writing and imagination.
